Charity Work with didadi

This is the first time I did charity work.....it was organised by airline crews. We collected old clothings from airport T3, delivered them in our Kangoo van to Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastry for re-packing /re-delivery to 3rd world countries. "Clarence" from the temple who organises the recycling programme speaks fluent English and Mandarin, is very polite and well-mannered. He was very enthusiatic and eager to show us the recycling programme. The collection place was well-maintained, very organised and tidy. They have boxes of shirts, medication & toys packed in carton boxes ready for delivery to Myanmar and Sri Lanka. Anyone who are keen to vlounteer their services can sign up on the link below....

The first trip we made was on Tue night, we reach there at about 1030pm, the place was very dark and the guard open the gate 1 for us when we arrived. As there was no lights in the area , we drove up to the wrong spot (james later told me it was the place where they used to burn dead bodies). Not sure to believe him or not ! HAHHA maybe he was trying to scare me as I was left alone waiting in the van while he left vehicle to make phone call to guard. Its all good experience and now I know where and how I can offer little help.....to the needy folks in our own ways, esp for me who is shy to participate in bigger events like bringing old folks to outings!

After the transportation on Thurs and Fri, we dropped by the famous "Prata Shop" along Thomson road...what else but to have crispy pratas with chicken sambal/curry along with Ice Teh....Yummy ( i was already thinking of it on first night - resisted my temptation thinking its late for supper, yet we ended up at Joo Chiat Plc for D666 durain supper @ four seasons durian cafe at 1130pm)!
