Sailing Boat - Primary School CCA

I was fetching James' niece yesterday from her Sat tuition class, then sending her to register for her private sailing classes at National Sailing Centre when I learnt that she is getting one brand new sailing boat !!! (apparently, they must have their own boat to participate)

Kids these days have so much more opportunities then we were >20years ago !
How lucky to be able to pick up sailing, wushu, golfing these days compared to "swimming, singing,folk dancing or Uniform grouped activities" !!

More importantly, a young kid at age of 11 owning her personal sailng boat that can costs up to $7-8k including all accessories !!! Most of her friends who were in sailing team owned their own boat too, no wonder she is so keen to have one herself ! Peer pressure starting as early as 10yrs old already !

I can't help but reminded her that this is not a cheap "toy", but a very expensive sports that she must be seriously committed to it, even jokingly said to her that she may be able to take part in 2010 Youth Olympic sailing game !

Kids these days.....so fortunate so pampered
