Italy - Venice 20-22nd July

Another journey on road to Venice which wasnt too far, think took us approx. 4hrs+. We had to park our car at Multi-storey car park at terminal, and took our luggage for the 2 nights stay on the island. WE even bought/carried 4 bottels of 1.5l mineral water over as things sold on island is 3x more expensive. When we check-in to our hotel, we were rather disappointed as the rooms were rather small and we had no view from our windows. The rate per night is >S$350 / night. Well, I suppose that is the price to pay for the good location as it is right next to the Piazza San Marco http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Mark%27s_Square

we should have kissed under the bridge when our condola passed it (or maybe it didnt) - as the legend says for eternal love !!! BTW, we opened a Champagne on our Venetician condola ride - It was a beautiful and romantic ride during the sunset especially when we passed the Railto bridge. I am glad we finally did that and have no regrets. It cost Euro 120 for the ride but James managed to bargained to Euro100! Tip: the condola guy will speak loudly when you try to bargain....he asked what is your budget as if to make you embarrassed so you will give in to their asking price...
Be thick-skin and pretend to walk-off was the tectic we used afterall the hotel quoted Euro110 so why should we pay Euro120 to private condola outside the Hotel.
